Welcome to CRCView

CRCView is a web-based microarray data analysis and visualization system. CRCView is powered by CRC, or Chinese Restaurant cluster, a Dirichlet process model-based clustering algorithm recently developed by Dr. Steve Qin. It also incorporates several gene expression analysis programs from Bioconductor, including GOStats, genefilter, and Heatplus. CRCView also installs from the Bioconductor system 78 annotation libraries of microarray chips for human (31), mouse (24), rat (14), zebrafish (1), chicken (1), Drosophila (3), Arabidopsis (2), Caenorhabditis elegans (1), and Xenopus Laevis (1). CRCView allows flexible input data format, automated model-based CRC clustering analysis, rich graphical illustration, and integrated Gene Ontology (GO)-based gene enrichment for efficient annotation and interpretation of clustering results.

Recent updates:

  • 2007-03-12: CRC engine updated. Fixed a bug (occurs when inversion flag is turned off but max shift is positive), and removed nonsignificant clusters from output.
  • 2007-03-09: Added probe to NCBI ENTREZ ID and gene symbol convertion.
  • 2007-03-01: Updated R to 2.5, Bioconductor to 2.0, Gostats to 2.1.12, and added chicken annotation.
  • 2007-02-27: Minor interface change in result page.
  • 2007-02-25: Minimum expression level and fold change filtering added. A step by step tutorial on how to use CRCView added.
  • 2007-01-16: Coefficient of variation filtering added.
